15 Feature Articles from 2023

2023 was a heck of a year. And whenever that happens, I find it important to reflect on what went really well. Here are some of my top feature articles, interviews, and bylines from 2023.

The Copywriter Club podcast and article

Okay, so technically, my podcast episode was in 2022, and technically, it’s not an article. But it’s one of my top hits, so I wanted to include it here.

TCC Podcast

Appearing on The Copywriter Club has been one of my bucket list items. Rob Marsh and Kira Hug are two of my favorite copywriters and online business owners. I love how much effort they put into elevating the voices of others.

We covered so much ground from Alaska, to starting a business, to joining Think Tank, and creating my course and framework. We also talked about the power of a network to grow your business.

Check out The Copywriter Club podcast episode 277 here (it’s been one of the top downloaded episodes).

TCC Blog

When I was in TCC Think Tank, I developed my framework, The REACH Visibility Trajectory™. My guest article on the TCC Blog walks you through the framework and shares everything that goes into creating a website marketing plan.

➡️The importance of understanding your why

➡️The continuum between branding and advertising

➡️The importance of understanding your non-negotiables and goals

➡️Why your brand needs to be laser focused on your audience

➡️Why it’s so critical to have a well-defined USP and process

➡️Knowing that your brand will evolve over time and how to account for that

➡️Who I’d like to have lunch with

And so much more!

I’d be truly honored if you took a moment to read! And, if anything resonates with you, please let me know!

Featured Articles

One of my favorite articles to write this year was for Foreplay.co a startup SaaS solution who offers a content marketing and advertising library you can use to get inspiration for future social campaigns. Their product was super cool, and they’re a lot of fun to write for. Even though it technically didn’t publish until Jan 2024, I wrote it in 2023, so I’m including it in this roundup!

The Swipe File on Foreplay.co

Want a quick tl;dr of what’s included?

First things first, if you’ve ever wondered how marketers stay ahead of the curve and beat writer’s block (or designer’s block), the answer might just be swipe files. You can dive into the article and get a primer on what swipe files are, how to create one, and how to use them effectively. Plus, you can get a sneak peek into all things Foreplay. And yes, I definitely had a blast testing their platform.

Even though I’m not an ads person myself, many of my clients use them, and I’m always looking at new inspiration and ideas for and with them.

So definitely, give the article a read, and play around with Foreplay’s platform. I found it easy to use and fun to take for a test drive. Plus there are TONS of applications.

What’s on deck for 2024 feature articles?

While I won’t publish every feature article as a one-off here, I do plan to publish some notifications–and you can expect a 2024 feature article round up coming this time next year.
