Ever wondered if you **really** need a website for your business?
I just recorded this video to help you understand why websites really do matter.
Here are the big takeaways:
Your website is your online business card.
What’s the first thing you do when you’re getting ready to work with someone? Search for them online and look up their website.
If you don’t have one, even if you’ve been in business for 20 years, they question if you’re legit. The thing is? Your site doesn’t have to be fancy — at minimum it needs to show who you are, what you do, who you work with and HOW TO CONTACT YOU.
You don’t have to be on it ALL THE TIME.
People always ask — can’t I give them my FB page? Well sure, you can, but with changing algorithms, it’s way better to OWN your content. And, you can abandon your website, meaning not adding content for long periods of time. But if you abandon your social media? EEEEEEEEEEE — people think you’ve fallen off the face of the earth.
Make more money.
Period. When you have a good website…with awesome copy and decent design…and it helps your clients understand what they get as a result of working with you… they’re more likely to WANT to book with you. Imagine, a team of (virtual) worker bees trying to help YOU get sales 24/7. That’s what your website does.
Confidence to take action.
Lemme explain. If you knew you were going to win a deal, you’d pick up the phone and ask for the sale. Right? Same thing here. And if you knew that you could send someone to your site and they’d be MORE likely to buy from you, you’d be shouting your URL from the rooftops. And you’ll start to show up more places in a better way.
