It’s rewarding to me to know that these audits are helping clients have the confidence to improve their own websites with just a few tweaks here and there. As we wind down the First Impressions Project, be sure to apply if you think you’d like to get in line for a quick review, please apply to the project here.
First Impressions Project – Week 14
This week we explored these three sites:
- Kabrina Budwell Consulting
- The Pineapple Hustle
- Tana Inskeep, Marin Life Coach
Kabrina Budwell Consulting
Kabrina Budwell submitted for her first impression audit stating that she was all ears to what could be improved upon. She’s an Email Marketing and Business Consultant. She takes the scary overwhelm out of technology to show you how systems can work together and make your business run smoother and your life easier.
3 points that stand out for Kabrina Budwell Consulting:
- Instead of the hero area with your company name, move the transformation up.
- Make your primary call to action apparent right away.
- Add testimonials and blog posts to the home page.

The Pineapple Hustle
Anna Kloth with The Pineapple Hustle loves pineapples as much as I do. The Pineapple Hustle matches capable interns with companies who are looking to step towards the digital age. Over the past 3 years, she has trained over 120 interns with 60% of all interns offered or hired for positions before the end of their internship.
3 points that stand out for The Pineapple Hustle:
- Imagery may have a disconnect with some clients (hero section).
- Agitate pain points a little more before setting yourself up as the guide.
- A little more white space between sections, and less full-width text.

Tana Inskeep, Marin Life Coach
Tana Inskeep wanted more feedback on her site as she has primarily used it as a business card. She would like to expand and grow her coaching business, so the possibilities for her site are endless as I mention in the video.
3 points that stand out for Tana Inskeep, Marin Life Coach include:
- Work on a transformational headline and a call to action.
- Let’s get clear on results, who you serve, how you serve them, and the problems you help them solve.
- You want to provide a definitive guide to how your customer will navigate through your site.
